- Catch pool plus recirculating pump. A pool at the run-out end feeding a 1–2 HP pump back to the header. Cuts fresh water draw dramatically, which matters on multi-day festival bookings and in drought-restricted counties. Add filtration and confirm the local health authority accepts recirculated water on a body-contact attraction before you promise it.
Confirm the discharge plan at the same time. Sixty feet of lane runs a lot of water into one corner of a field, and the site contact will remember which vendor left a bog behind.
Why slope and ground condition decide the ride
The target is a gentle, consistent fall — roughly 1–3% grade, about 8–20 inches of drop across 60 feet, always running downhill away from the water connection.
